Green Gas From Waste

WHAT IS GREEN CONNECT BIOGAS AND HOW IT WORKS?

GREEN CONNECT BIOGAS PLANT produces cooking gas from leftover food/vegetable/organic waste through the process of anaerobic bacterial digestion. In simple terms, organic waste is degraded biologically, and biogas which is produced as output is used for cooking/electricity production.

WHY GREEN CONNECT BIOGAS?

Climate change

Various studies have shown that improper disposal of solid waste in open landfills is one of the biggest contributor of the green house gas methane. This green house gas which is 21 times more harmful than CO2 is trapped by our bio-methanation plant and converted to a renewable fuel.

Resource scarcity

It is a well known fact that LPG is a depleting fossils fuel. Our biogas is a replacement to LPG and all our customers save roughly 40% to 90% of their LPG consumption due to green connect biogas plant.

Community Development

Green Connect biogas plant is the best solid waste management system for wet-biodegradable waste. It improves the health and sanitation of the surroundings and prevents spread of diseases and foul odour.

Organic Manure

The slurry produced on a daily basis can be used as an organic manure for the gardens and farms. With rich content of micronutrients, it can replace the artificial fertilizers.

GREEN CONNECT BIOGAS

It is 1.5 times heavier than air and hence in an event of leakage it will flow along floors and tend to settle in low spots, such as basements. Thus it has a potential to cause explosions. It is 20% lighter than air and hence in an event of leakage, it will escape into the atmosphere
It can be ignited with a lighter as it has an ignition temp of around 500°C. It can be ignited only with a match stick as its ignition temp is about 650-750°C.
Its stored under very high pressure and hence in an event of accident it may explode. Its pressure is comparatively very less and hence there are no chances of an explosion.
