The Agricultural Engineering Department successfully organized a comprehensive Demonstration of Innovative Agricultural Engineering Technologies on 31.10.2025 in Salem District. This initiative was conducted as part of the commitment announced by the Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to promote and accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies among farmers.
The program was held under the esteemed guidance of Thiru. R. Murugesan, M.E.(Ag), Ph.D., Chief Engineer (AE), Agricultural Engineering Department, Chennai, whose leadership played a significant role in bringing together experts, farmers, and field officers to witness cutting-edge innovations in modern farming.
The demonstration showcased various technologies designed to enhance productivity, reduce labor dependency, conserve natural resources, and improve overall farm efficiency. Farmers actively engaged with the experts, gaining hands-on knowledge about the latest machinery, precision farming tools, soil health technologies, and sustainable agricultural practices.
This event marks another important step toward empowering the farming community with the skills, tools, and technological exposure needed to build a more resilient and future-ready agricultural ecosystem.
